Bring on the Geometric!

As an Event Core member, The Sugar Cube is exposed to seeing all the newest themes and trends when it comes to the wedding and event scene.

Event Core YYC is a one-stop-shop for all your wedding and event needs in YYC! It is a group of talented, credible vendors that have come together to create a space full of wedding and event inspiration. Our vendors have a place to call home, and our brides and event planners can walk into our doors and find everything they need - under one roof! It’s truly a win-win situation and The Sugar Cube is a proud member.

Recently, we took part of a styled shoot that was put together by mostly Event Core members (and boy- are they talented). These photos are from that day, where so many of us came together to create – magic!

One of the themes taken at this shoot was – Geometric! We love this theme for 2017 weddings. The Geometric theme was placed subtly throughout the décor. The Geometric theme brings a modern feel to your event, and offers clean lines and a subtle contemporary vibe to your wedding or event.

The geometric shapes were seen throughout the styled shoot. In the ceremony they were placed within the small floral terrariums (thank you Creative Edge Flowers) - and geometric lanterns placed down the aisle.

At the reception they were seen at each of the tables with elegant, clean centrepieces – and at the cake and dessert table.

You can add the geometric theme in so many aspects of your wedding. But remember – subtlety is KEY when adding this touch to your wedding or event!
